Summer Toy Drive by Phi Beta Sigma (Spring 2022) | Up to 9 hours

I purchased 3 toys for elementary school kids for this event. I purchased a coloring book/notebook, some educational flashcards, and a water squirter since it's getting hot. I feel like this event was a good way to give to the kids in the community and I would definitely do it again.

    TeleHealth Services

I think Claflin providing us with healthcare services is a great opportunity for students. Some of us may not have insurance so having this is a good thing for us.

    FASFA READY (3 hours)

Registering for the FAFSA was the best thing I could have done. It's important to register because you're basically receiving free money. The money you receive from the FAFSA is what would go towards your tuition that you could have instead of spending your own money out of pocket that you could be using for something else. Financial Aid covered most of my tuition so now I only need to pay off a small portion.

Title IX Training: Preventing Sexual Misconduct for Students (2 hours)

The Title IX training course is basically used to teach students about sexual misconduct and how to prevent it from happening. The training taught me more about sexual misconduct and what to do in a situation like that. I believe it should be required to learn at all colleges.

Protect Your Community: Get Vaccinated! (EARN 4hrs)

My experience getting vaccinated was nothing out of the ordinary. It was just like getting a shot at the doctor's office, but the Covid shot was painless. It is important to get vaccinated not only to keep yourself safe but also for others around you.
