I enjoyed attending the fireside chat with Congressman Ro Khanna and Dr. Warmack. Not only were we able to hear the sentiments and ideas proposed by the congressman, but I also learned that two honors college students were able to obtain a well paying position within zoom. I look forward to reading Congressman Khanna's book.

I enjoyed working at the pantry throughout the semester. Not only did I make a difference on campus by assisting with passing out the snacks, but I was also able to network and meet new people as they came to the pantry. My favorite part of working at the pantry was packing bags and making new acquaintances.
I completed my housing contract for the next academic year. My housing will automatically be assigned since I am in honors. I also completed my fafsa last year and my schedule once registration open.
I really enjoyed the research symposium. My favorite presentation was the one about how a stroke can effect cortico cortical connections within the brain. Not only was I able to learn about the subjects of these presentations, but I was also able to be provided with opportunities for me to conduct my own research under the supervision of various organizations.
Being able to make cards for the children was a very exciting experience. Not only was I able to be creative, but I was also able to hopefully make a child smile during this time of year. Being able to lift the spirits of others, especially someone who could possibly be celebrating this holiday season without a loved-one due to covid, was a heartwarming experience.
Being able to vote is definitely a good feeling. Not only are you able to make a difference as to who will be in charge of running the country, but you will also be able to vote in smaller scale elections as well. Being able to utilize a right that wasn't always an option to African-Americans is definitely empowering and I will be implementing my right to vote in upcoming elections.
