Today I got the chance to clean up Claflin's campus and interact with some of my D9 peers along with some students. This gave me an opportunity to do something bigger than myself and my community. A list of names has been sent to Dr.Doctor so he can say who all was there.
Today I helped set up for our Athletic Banquet. I really enjoyed being a part of the set not only because it showed me how much pride our athletic staff has for its athletes.
Today I got the chance to pick my housing. Even though I am in Honors College so they are the ones who pick it for me I wish it was different though but it is life. The picture below it shows my housing will be in East.
Today I participated in the Women's walk. It was a great time to walk with other women and talk. I really enjoyed it it gave me the opportunity to get out and do something fit.
Today I created my class schedule for FA'22. I can not wait to see and experience these new classes next semester.
Today I got the chance to make healthcare baggies and affirmations for the dorms on Claflin's campus. The dorm I had to make healthcare baggies for was an all-girls dorm West. This was a very fun experience to be able to create and provide females with something they may need that they may not be able to get right now.
This week I worked with logging the transfer portal which includes all the enrolled and unenrolled students. Friday I got the chance to work with the PE teacher and taught the kids some stretches. It was very enjoyable and was a great experience.
Today my mom and I completed my FASFA. FASFA is very important to all college students and even athletes like me. It may be a lot of work to fill out but it is really worth it. I am not sure how I can find the complete form so I can upload the picture but it has been completed.
Today I went to Brookdale again and this week I worked with the attendance keeper. I can honestly say this is a very nitty-gritty task. You have to really be focused while also having fun with it. It was good to experience something within the school system.
From 10:30-12:30 ( MWF ) and 12:30-1:30 ( T & TR ) I started volunteering at Brookdale Elementary School. Today I worked in the library and put the books back in alphabetical order. I really enjoyed this experience today simply because I am meeting new people and doing new things.
