On April 13, assistant volleyball coach, Akeem Bonaparte, myself, and two baseball players assisted with the filling station. This was a great experience knowing that I got to help provide for the youth.

    Women's Walk (Spring 2022) | 3 hours

On Tuesday, March 29, 2022, I attended the Women's Walk led by Claflin University's Athletic Department and the Career Services Department. It was good to see young college-educated women all come together in support of one another. This is the second walk I have attended and will most definitely attend again.

Chatting with the nutritionist was very informative! As an athlete I learned new tips of ways to keep my body healthy to make sure I can compete at my very best. From experience, I understand that if one does not fuel their body with the right stuff it will result in fatigue.

As an athlete it is extremely important to give back to the community. I really enjoyed being apart of a team that worked so hard to bring all the applesauce we good. Although it was a competitive assignment throughout Claflin Universities Athletic Department, it was for a good cause. Many children do not get fed how they are suppose to so being apple to make such a great contribution really warmed my heart.

Every year on January 18th, we take time out of our busy schedule to honor Martin Luther King Jr. He had a major in impact on society. He was one of the greatest American Civil Rights leaders during the 1960s, and as a result, he is honored with a holiday on the third Monday in January. Everyone in the community looked up to Dr. King because of all he did in the community. Dr. Martin Luther King deserves great praise organizing serval peaceful protest, delivering his famous “I Have a Dream” speech, and winning a Nobel Peace Prize.
