For my community service, I donated money to the March of Dimes Organization. The March of Dimes Organization is a wonderful corporation to help with health improvement for mothers and their babies. Overall, every penny counts towards every organization.
I love giving to the heart association because it reminds me of my grandfather. He recently passed away from a heart attack. This foundations hold a little close to home for me.
I donated money to the Orangeburg Area Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation. I’ve seen how sickle cell affects a great percentage of the black community and it made me feel great to help.
I donated to the March of dimes for the future of our babies to prevent babies from dying and help them with their health. These babies are our future and no mother should have to go through any problems with their child or struggling about how they will get money to pay for their children’s health. This has really made an impact on my life because dealing with kids is what I want to do in my future so helping mothers with their kids is really something thoughtful to me.
I decided to donate due to Claflin’s requirement to do so. Also I’ve decided to donate because I am behind on community service hours and needed to be at someone’s service. Finally donating to this corporation will help to assist in the fight.
This is a great opportunity for all students not only will it benefit the students, it will also benefit the individuals that the funds go to. I always enjoy when I can help other individuals.
I chose the Orangeburg "Packin and Snackin" to donate to because the cause is something very personal to me. Im all for empowerment and moving up in life before moving backwards. In a world where people have millions of dollars not a soul should be hungry. To know that my $20 can be of use to feed a random child big or small Its very motivating.
I chose to donate to the Orangeburg Area Sickle Cell Anemia Foundation because to be brief I myself have the sickle cell trait. I want to do anything in my power to help further research and treatment for this as of right now, incurable disease. I believe the more support a foundation has financially the faster improvements will show.
I chose to donate to the American Kidney Association because I lost my aunt to kidney failure in 2015. Me donating to this cause helps me know that I am helping somebody out in the world. Even if it is just a little bit
Making a donation no matter the amount of money always makes the difference when put all together. I'm glad to have made a difference and helped a meaningful cause.
Volunteering at the Samaritan House in Orangeburg has been such a pleasant and heartwarming experience. I have had the opportunity to meet and help so many people and I wish to continue my volunteer work with this organization. Staff members and other volunteers are also extremely gentle and helpful.
