Fayetteville Public Education Foundation

About

The Foundation's ethos is to serve as a catalyst for promising new programs that spark our students' education through innovative, pioneering, and transformative projects while preserving public dollars for the work of the schools. Projects with the greatest consideration for funding demonstrate a focus on enrichment and closing the achievement gap for at-risk students.

The Foundation funds a limited amount of grants from the income from our endowment, preserving the principal for generations of students. To underwrite teacher grant requests that remain unfunded and maximize the support for public education in Fayetteville, we leverage support from parents, alumni, and community partners who are dedicated to helping our children succeed. Since inception in 1992, over $3 Million has been distributed for projects serving our students. On average, fifty (50) teacher grants are awarded each year ranging from $1,000 to $25,000 - cumulatively serving more than 7,000 children.

The Foundation ensures that thousands of Fayetteville children have the opportunity to be engaged in extraordinary programs in our public school setting.  This is the promise of our public schools; this is the gift of the supporters of the Fayetteville Public Education Foundation.
