Schedule: Tuesdays from 5:00 to 7:00 pm starting in March

Location: 781 Wheeler Street, Atlanta, GA 30318

Subjects: Math (Geometry, Trigonometry, Algebra) British Literature, Science, Language Arts, Reading Comprehension  

Grades: Middle and high school

Responsibilities:

Help students learn by reviewing content with them, explaining how to solve problems and checking completed work. Develop positive rapport with students by providing feedback using positive reinforcement techniques to encourage, motivate, and build confidence. Review class assignments, discuss subject content, and assist students with homework problems, with the goal of increasing comprehension and remediating grades.

Requirements and Experience:

            Ability to pass a background check

            College degree in Education or related field (matriculating candidates will be considered)

>1 - year of special education instruction (in classroom and/or out of school time environments)

            >1 - year working with youth, preferably under-resourced youth

>1- year working with Individualized Education Plans

            Mature, patient, and flexible, with a sense of humor

            Familiar with Delta Math and Google Classroom

 Compensation based on education and experience
